Dr.
Gordon graduated from dental school in 1978, fulfilling a
childhood dream of wanting to become a dentist. Since
graduation, he has practiced in the Northland of the greater
Kansas City area. He is very passionate about dentistry, loves
changing smiles therefore changing peoples lives.
Changing peoples lives through cosmetic and complete dentistry
is the greatest gift Dr. Gordon can give people. In return, it
gives him great satisfaction when a patient upon completion of
their cosmetic case turns to him with a hug, or a handshake, and
their beaming new smile to say "Thank You- I can't believe how
great I look and feel!"
Dedicated to personal and professional growth, Dr. Gordon averages more than 125 hours of advanced dental continuing education per year, to keep himself on the leading edge.
He has also studied under the "Masters in Cosmetic and Advanced" general dentistry. Dr. Gordon's expertise, enthusiasm, knowledge and experience in cosmetic and complete dentistry, can give you that dream smile you deserve, and have always wanted. CJ Spychalla
CJ
graduated from
Commercial Art School in 1986. She continued her education and
graduated as a Certified and Registered Dental
Assistant in 1993. She expanded her knowledge of the technical
processes of dentistry while working with a software development
firm, and has trained offices throughout the United States.
CJ's love for Art has given her a unique perspective on the
performance and artistry of Dr. Gordon. With her aptitude
for learning and drive to be the best, she is committed to
bringing you the finest possible service.

Joanie Rucker
Joanie is the first person you will meet
upon entering our office. She will greet you with a dazzling
smile and show you first hand how impressive Dr. Gordon’s
dentistry is. Joanie had gone through orthodontics prior to her
employment with us. Once on board, Dr. Gordon completed her
treatment with 20 veneers and one implant.
When Joanie takes you on
a tour of the office and explains about procedures, she really
knows first hand what she is talking about. Joanie is a great
ambassador for the practice and will be happy to answer all your
questions.
Mary Gordon
Mary is Dr. Gordon's "Concierge".
She greets all patients ("guests") and assists in
beginning the "Five Star" experience. Being in dentistry over 20
years, has given her the experience and the confidence to relate
with people and help them through their dental journey.
Being a part of a practice that performs a
lot of Cosmetic Dentistry gives her a great sense of pride and
excitement. "What a thrill it is to see people to leave with a
dazzling smile and a new bounce in their step" says Mary. It
offers her great rewards each and every day. Mary invites you to
call and reserve a time to begin your journey.
Julie Helling
Julie is originally from Fort
Madison, a small town in southeast Iowa. She moved to Kansas
City in 1989 to pursue a degree in accounting and has been here
ever since.
Julie became Dr. Gordon's patient in 1992. Eleven years
later, she began working in the office as a part-time Assistant
Marketing Director. Julie loves helping patients feel
appreciated and wants them to feel confident that Dr. Gordon is
their best choice in a dentist.
Outside
the office, Julie has her own business, “Simply Organized.” She
loves to help people reduce stress in their lives by helping
them get organized.
Carol Thompson-Graham
Carol
was born and raised in Northern Missouri. She has lived in
the Kansas City area for many years. She has been in
dentistry for over 20 years. During that time, Carol has
had experience in several dental specialties including
prosthodontics and periodontics.
Carol finds cosmetic dentistry to be both fun and rewarding
Sharing the experience with patients as they get their "New
Smile" is exciting each and every time. She looks forward
to meeting you.
Brenda Farris
Brenda
worked for Dr. Gordon for 3 1/2 years. She then left to
spend time with her children before they entered college.
Brenda recently returned to the practice, and is
glad to be a part of a great dental team that provides the best
possible service and care to patients.
She looks forward to helping patients and making
them feel comfortable with their smile decisions.
Jill Miller, RDH
Jill
is originally from Albert City, a small town in the northwest
corner of Iowa. She graduated from the University of South
Dakota with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. Currently,
she lives in Savannah, MO.
Jill absolutely loves establishing relationships and
connections with each patient that she takes care of. It is very
important to her that each patient feel as comfortable as
possible the second they step into our office. At Dr. Gordon’s
office, both personal and professional growth is encouraged and
personally rewarding for her. With such an awesome sense of
teamwork established within this office, the atmosphere is
always energetic and friendly.
Michelle
Keen
Michelle is from a farming community in Northeast Missouri.
At the age of 21, she graduated from the University of Kansas
City with her bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. She is
an active member of the American Dental Hygienist Association,
and has served two consecutive terms as President in her local
component.
Working closely with her patients to help them
achieve their personal goals with their smile and oral health is
one of the things Michelle loves best. She feels there is
great synergy amongst the team at Dr. Gordon's office. "This
allows us to come together to provide the best individualized
treatment plan possible," explains Michelle. "Having the
latest technology is another huge plus for the care we give our
patients," she adds.
In her personal time, Michelle loves to
spend time with her son camping, fishing and enjoying all
aspects of the outdoors.
Gwen Sholar, RDH
Gwen is a Registered Dental Hygienist who hails from Corpus Christi, the "sparkling
city by the sea." She has her degree in Dental Hygiene
from a Coastal Bend College in South Texas. She began her
career with a general dentistry practice in Texas; moved abroad
and joined a periodontal office in Zurich, Switzerland; and has
practiced in Kansas City since 1985.
Gwen is an active member in the Greater Kansas City Dental
Hygiene Association, and in the International Association of
Orofacial Myologists (she is trained to treat patients with
tongue thrust or incorrect swallow, and children with
thumb-sucking habits).
Being part of Dr. Gordon's professional team helping patients
achieve the confidence that goes along with a beautiful smile is
what motivates Gwen. A positive attitude is her hallmark.
